Rundown: Today rsquo;s show we rsquo;ll be talking about an article that let rsquo;s us know what women really want, to marry a rich man. Also Lisa will be discussing polyamory and her time on OKCupid and Dave will be talking about dating and the world of relationships in the virtual world of gaming. Finally, for the Geek Love Tip of the Week, we look at how even the jerk deserves some love, but not in the way you think. All that and more on this week rsquo;s episode of Geek Love Radio.

What rsquo;s up?

Topic 1: An article from a UK newspaper writes about how women still desire marrying a rich man because marrying up is the more logical thing to do. Even in the United States there rsquo;s still a pay gap between men and women and its reinforcing the idea of women becoming housewives in a typical marriage. There rsquo;s also the television shows like the ldquo;Real Housewives rdquo; of this, that and the other things that show off women who take on the role of a stay at home, well, I don rsquo;t know if I can call them mothers or not. this mentality though leads into the idea that maybe women secretly want to have those traditional roles from the early part of the last century, where women took care of the kids and the men took home the paycheck.

Topic 2: Lisa talks about her experiences on OKCupid and the kinds of people she rsquo;s met. How she deals with dating a man with a girlfriend and another guy who was asking a few too many personal questions.

Topic 3: Dave goes over a documentary he watched on people transitioning from the virtual world of gaming to real life marriage and how people cope with that kind of relationships.

Geek Love Tip of the Week: Geek Love Tip of the Week

I rsquo;ve been victim to this for sure, and while searching the Internet for fun and interesting things to talk about, I find this article defending the jerk. Now, that piqued my interest because we were just talking about jerks in last week rsquo;s show, and the more I read the more it feels like its kind of explaining me. See, the problem with a lot of guys is, that they are clueless. They become inadvertent jerks by simply not getting what they rsquo;re saying wrong or what they rsquo;re doing wrong.

Alas, we are not mind readers, and men can rsquo;t know what women are thinking all the time. Hell, even after years of dating it can still be a challenge trying to find out what your significant other is trying to say. This goes both ways by the way, where I realize women can rsquo;t read a man rsquo;s mind, but again, I don rsquo;t think guys will argue that we rsquo;re pretty simple in our ways. More reason to actually talk it out and communicate.
