This week we record the night that Whitney Houston died, so we talk a little about her impact on the world and how big a deal Twitter was in finding out about these things. Dave and I then talk about comics, for the second week in a row. This time it’s about adult and mature themes in two books. For me it was “The Boys”, for Dave he talks about “Chew”. We discuss the comic book store experience as well as our thoughts on these two comics. We also discuss the cost of comic books and how it’s a way of life.
We cover a little Warhammer, a little Roleplaying Game madness, and trading card games. We nerd out in the worst/best possible sense. We go on to talk about comic book movies, and I guess that just seems to be the theme of this week’s episode. And we do finally wrap it up with talk about comedy and comedians, which is kind of the farthest thing from comic books and really, a ton more.
You’re listening to A Critical Moment of Awesome, where two guys talk out about practically everything. From pop culture, to music, movies, games, science, food and more, we really do cover it all.
