Hello everyone, and thank you for tuning in to Geek Love Radio. If you listen to the podcast, you may know that the intro music is pretty generic and the graphic I use for the show is sub-par. Well, that’s where you come in. Season 1 of GLR wrapped last night, with the episode to be up as soon as possible. And during the hiatus, Dave the Drummer and I thought it would be keen if we had a fresh new sound and look for Season 2, starting at the end of the month.
So all you talented artists and musicians out there, here’s the challenge. We’re looking for a brand new Geek Love Radio logo and theme song (intro and ending) to showcase on the show. You’ll be advertised on the show on a regular basis and have a plug on the podcast as well as the blog. Both viewed and listened to by several hundred people. (I’m not tooting my own horn, but if you have anything to plug, you will at least know you’ll get some exposure.)
Rules:
- Entries must be turned in by Sept. 17th, the deadline for contest submissions.
- Sept. 18th – 29th is the voting period in which there will be a page dedicated to the qualified entries.
- If we find any of the material offensive, we reserve the right not to put it in the contest. (If you’ve heard the show, you’ll know we’re not snobs or anything, but we can’t put up anything offensive.)
- Please, no entries with copyrighted material. Anything that may be deemed copyrighted will not be posted for the contest.
- No explicit language or visual material on the logo or in the song.
- Winning song and logo will be featured on the first episode of Season 2, starting approximately on September 30th.
I think that’s everything. Winners will receive the recognition, showcasing on Geek Love Radio, and maybe a little something extra. Sorry, new to the whole contest thing.
