Okay, that may all seem rather random, but it all is interconnected and related in some way shape or form. Because we all know that the internet is now really integrated into our lives one way or another. There’s Facebook for stalking and whatnot and befriending, and there’s Flickr for trolling through pictures, and so much more. But now the internet is making it easier and easier for people to get to know each other, and its ALL free. Yep, the new thing, at least in the tech world, is a place where you can learn all about.me. Yep About Dot Me, or about.me, is a simple little internet tool that allows you to put up all your information, your websites Twitter, Facebook, whatnot, all in one convenient and cool little profile. And the best part, its easy to remember, and its super simple.
I was so interested in this, I signed up for the beta, which its still in, and so unfortunately its by invitation only. But now, you can learn everything you want about a person without having to be their Facebook friend, considering this actually becomes popular. And why wouldn’t it? Its just about.me/(insert your name here). Either we’re becoming way too open with our information and our personal lives, or we just love to talk about ourselves. As if social networks like Twitter and Facebook weren’t enough, now there’s another website that seems to be getting buzz. VYou, is a place where people can connect to anyone, and instead of just static pictures or lines of written information, you get a face. A moving talking face. Yep, VYou allows people to answer questions with short video clips, kind of like YouTube, but more personal. Because the more you ask questions and the more these people answer, it’ll soon be like you’re having a conversation with a virtual person, but they’re real. That’s pretty creepy isn’t it? I mean, you find yourself flirting with someone on a site like this, and they can, after awhile flirt or reject you. Its something that needs to be seen to believe, but personally, I don’t get the flirting or the kinds of questions being asked, especially of the women.
See, this site is kind of female dominant. I think webcams and women are becoming more and more linked everyday. And the kinds of questions men ask, and I’m assuming they’re guys because I can’t imagine a girl asking those things, but its kind of sad. Grown men asking if they’ll show their panties, or whatnot. Okay, time to talk about sex. I know that’s what most people are interested in, and though physical sex may not be at your disposal at the moment, virtual sex is. There is a fine line nowadays when it comes to sex and relationships. More and more men are having a hard time differentiating between the two. As we move into this digital age where things become more and more accessible, I feel we men will be thinking less with our heads, and more with our…heads. You get what I mean. And women will continue to evolve, understand that, rule us, and take all our money. Haha. Which for some people, doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.
