Yeah, I know, there’s no set schedule in the world of Geek Love Radio or anything, but just letting people know. There are shows ready to go up, but they’re not ready to go up. Do you know what I mean? Err…never mind. Anyway, shall we continue with what I wanted to talk about this fine Tuesday?
After all this time of getting over my depression and trying to get over my sadness and be happy, I’ve actualliy been doing it all wrong. Apparenlty, I should be more of the unhappy type, as I guess that’s what women find more attractive. Now, I do love a smiling woman. I think a smile can light me up like nobodies business. A sad, brooding girlfriend just doesn’t seem like a turn on, and much more like someone I just want to leave alone. Yet, a new study shows that the way a person looks, emotion wise, can really determine sexual attraction.
Something that’s totally a staple of the nice guy is the smile. Whether it be fake or real, which…for many nice guys, I think it’s faked, a smile is actually not considered very attractive on men. And I get this, because well, it doesn’t look intimidating, it reinforces the nice guy, and hell, shows no intimidation, strength or bad-assery. It makes the face look soft, look approachable and nice. Who would want to date that? That’s not hot. What needs to be fixed? Where’s the brooding man behind this smiling boy? Bitter? No, more of a semi-sweet.
Yet, if a guy looks at a smiling woman, it adds to their beauty. It’s bright and inviting. You want to look into those eyes, to kiss those lips, to get lost in those…well, it’s attractive. It’s so easy to get drawn in and to be absorbed by it. I think a smile can make almost any woman look more attractive. Yes, I said almost. So why the discrepancy? Well, we’re looking for different things we men and women. Women continue to look for the bad boy, and men look for the approachable woman.
So the brooding or more cocky look is much more appealing to women. It belies confidence, it belies strength, and it says “help me” to those women who seek to be so nurturing. And for men, well…smiling is hot on women. I don’t know how better to explain it. A smile on a woman is just sexy, and plus we’d like to think that we’re giving them some joy in life. Either way, it just continues to show that the nice guy continues to finish last, and they’re not even doing anything. They’re just smiling! It’s a sad state of affairs I think.
People might be wondering, well, nothing, but they can also be wondering what to do. Nothing, it just shows that the dating scene is just more difficult and more challenging for the guy who likes to smile. Of course, it was horrible of me to associating smiling with the nice guy, because not all nice guys smile all the time. But if you’re thinking of dating someone or if you’re thinking of getting into a relationship, be sure not to smile so much. That may turn them off. And who wants to turn someone off?
