Welcome to the Online Friend Simulator. Because everyone could use a friend, even online. I’m Francis aka The Other Guy.

How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well. It’s Pi Day and also White Day in Japan, so I decided to talk about the not so awesome aspects of love. Well, not love itself, but finding love sucks. So I spend the episode on alternatives and just how difficult love is in general. It may not be hate, but join me anyway, as I try to dissect romance and friendship from the sucky end.

As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for listening. Please leave a review on Apple Podcasts or anywhere you listen to podcasts.

I am looking forward to seeing all who attend WonderCon. Come upstairs, relax, and watch some of the Anime being shown at WonderCon. Don’t forget that after the convention center is closed, more anime will be shown at the Anaheim Hilton. Please no sleeping, or taking pictures or video, within the anime rooms.
With over 6 billion people out there, that there are some have to seek emotional validation from a none person reflects poorly on how people treat one another. If one gets treated badly by other people often enough, I can see why some individuals feel scared to attempt to interact with other people and do not open themselves up to further potential events of being hurt.
We have a biological imperative to reproduce, and be part of the process to bring the next generation into being. When that does not happen, all the generations who came before us, in a way die and have their biological legacy end. That’s evolution, as also depicted at the beginning of the movie Idiocracy.
We all want to be valued. Do you feel valued? Sufficiently? Not enough? To much? Why?
Nothing in life is garunteed, except for death.
If we spend most of our existence at work, do we work to live, or live to work? Which is better?
Does our ability to access older media, stifle or help development of new media?
The stink of desperation. How can one tell one has it? How does one get rid of it?
If one does not actively pursue love, how does one ever find it? Should one just wait for love to find you? What is the best way to wait for love and make it easier for love to find you?
Did we get along before 2016? I remember people calling others Nazis at least back to 2000. That’s Godwin’s Law, right?
Is it a good or a bad thing that people are dividing themselves, and choosing their neighbors, based on whether one agrees with the politics of others?
Is it a good or bad thing to be in an echo chamber?
Perhaps an episode on 🇺🇦 is timely, on our ability instantaneous access media about a conflict, and how (if at all) it impacts one’s life.
Are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past?
What does your favorite movie(s) say about you? What does “Sleepless in Seattle” say about me?
Record a podcast together at WonderCon? If so, about what? Or just record us having a random conversation?
