Conspiracy Theories are Fun?

Well, I was just introduced to the conspiracy theory on the music industry, and I found it very enlightening. Now, for those of you who are unaware of what that is, just Google the words “Music Industry Exposed”, and you’ll find the 9+ part Youtube series. Each video is ten minutes, and its enlightening to say the least. Now I’m not saying I believe or disbelieve what is said in the videos, nor am I saying that it all exists, I’m just saying that I find it fascinating how people can create conspiracy theories and how many people believe in that stuff. And there are lot of these theories floating around. It encompasses all sorts of different things, and its amazing.

What’s fascinating about it is how people react to and believe such things without doing their own research. Now I understand that its impossible to do such things sometimes, but one cannot always believe what’s presented right in front of them without learning more about it themselves. Not to say they’re gullible, but should you find yourself believing something and being proven wrong due to some undeniable fact, then you only have yourself to blame for looking “stupid”.

Its a delicate subject, but that’s how people are fooled by others, especially in relationships. People don’t take the time to find out the facts for themselves, and when people spread rumors about their girlfriend or whatever, one will just believe it. That’s a HUGE problem, and it can lead to misunderstandings, break ups, arguments, and whatever else bad that can happen. Why do people just believe something without doing the research themselves? Why do people trust blindly?

I guess that’s what makes the conspiracy theory so popular. People want to believe it because its juicy, its more exciting and interesting that the possible truth. There’s no fact behind it, its all theory, all speculation, but its more dramatic to believe the possible lie than to find out the truth. Because maybe the truth hurts, or maybe…the truth is just boring.
