World of Flancraft – The First 20 Levels of Becoming Better Than You Are

Roll Intro fade into cool cinematic and lead to a splash screen of the title: World of Flancraft

Level Up! via – World of WarcraftI am currently on a quest to find out who I once was. I’ve often talked about it on the blog and the podcast about how I lost who I once was. I can remember being hilarious (if I do say so myself), and being such an uplifting person. For years I was on the ball, taking on any challenge that lay before me and tearing it apart. I was fun to be around, I took the time for other people, and most importantly, I had productive time for myself. Now, after a year of recovery, a few months of being at the top, and another six months of finding myself at the bottom, it’s time to start anew.

Join me on my journey, as this may help you too, where I share my progress and hopefully give some good tips on things you may be able to use in your life. Of course I’ll still post cheeky, random, and informative posts, but each Quest and each Level Up will be posted on here as well. Hopefully I’ll touch on things you can personally use or even share with others, and maybe we can have a little PUG (pick up group) for this quest. Leveling and questing is much more fun in a group anyway.

Quest Giver: Cvetlana – Level 1 Quest

The first thing you need to ask yourself is why the hell am I doing this thing in the first place? I had to ask myself, “Why do I want to be better?” The answer SHOULD be, “Because I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.” We should be our own motivation, we should never settle for second best, and we should always strive to be awesome. Notice I used the word “should”. In reality, and I will confess to this, we are lazy. We often take the easiest road, we flatter ourselves by ignoring the truth, and we don’t take the time to look within ourselves and see the flaws. I believe everything happens for a reason, and this person who put me in my place, was essentially someone I wasn’t supposed to know. So she gave me my first quest, kicked me in the ass appropriately, and now I am here.

Now ask yourself again. “Why am I doing this?”. I know why I’m doing this. Because I miss the old me, the funny me, the me that people ACTUALLY wanted to spend time with. Also, because of a girl. Women are such great sources of motivation, but that’s beside the point. Find that motivation, stick to it, and even if that external motivation goes away, you should be liking yourself enough to learn that YOU are motivation enough. Enough of this monologue tree, let’s start this thing!

The first quest I was given was to improve myself physically. Now I know I was working out earlier in the year, and as always, I let my emotions get the better of me. That’s such an odd “guy” thing, to allow their emotions adversely affect themselves like that. It’s such a stereotypical thing to think women…well, I digress. It seems women are the stronger of the emotional species. Nonetheless, I’m starting fresh, and doing it my own way. Something people may not know about me, and probably would not expect knowing me is that I grew up with a martial arts background. I’m not going to go all in detail about it, but know that it is something I’m passionate about, find fun, and am using now to get myself back in shape. This quest, I will not be doing alone either. I have Dave the Drummer as my wing man on this case, where we’ll be trying to achieve our own physical goals, which happen to be rather opposite of each other.

This will be an ongoing Daily Quest for me and probably consist of my first 20 levels. In other words, to step away from the word play, becoming physically fit starts a domino effect. It leads to a better self image, leads to better sleeping patterns, leads to a better disposition and overall health. What stops people sometimes is the fact that they’re lethargic, and as a result, you can’t complain about where you are in life in regards to your own well being. Sharpen the mind? Then sharpen the body. But maybe you’re already physically well off, maybe you need something else. Well check in later on this week for Quest 2 of this adventure(?). What is your first quest? What do you want to improve about yourself? And am I crazy for approaching my life in such a fashion? Take into account the website Epic Win. Life’s more fun when it’s…fun. So share with me your thoughts and ideas on this whole matter.
