If It's Broke, Fix It

I think we all have this tendency to stick to things we think will work. Like if we slap a lamp to get a light bulb to work again, and it works, we’ll keep doing that until it stops working. But life is not a lamp, and slapping it the same way each time does not mean you’ll get the same results each time. So why is it, then, that we have a tendency to do the same things over and over again, and allow history to repeat itself? What benefit is there when we keep doing the same things over and over again, hoping the results will change? Is that not the very definition of insanity?

Albert Einstein – Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Thanks Al. Therefore, in this brief blog post, I am saying, I may be insane. Often times I feel it’s a good idea to say what I’m actually thinking without any filter, and time and again that’s only gotten me into trouble. I have yet, or at least, for a long time, had a good result from not filtering what I say. I think that’s a good lesson to learn. Don’t talk to people when you’re incredibly tired. Your guard is down, you start rambling about all sorts of nonsense, and you have the potential to say things out of context and maybe…some things you haven’t thoroughly thought out yet.

I’m running on fumes yet again in terms of sleep and energy. Wanted to get even a partial blog post out. I’ll elaborate soon with much more insanity.
