Isolation can feel alien.
Welcome to the Online Friend Simulator. Because everyone could use a friend, even online. I’m Francis aka The Other Guy.
How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well. Welcome back! It’s been a harrowing last couple of years, and I’ve been avoiding a topic for a very long time. There’s so much attached to the pandemic and how it has been weaponized. I try to avoid that but instead talk about the psychological effects of staying at home and not interacting with anyone. The isolation and the loneliness may be effecting us in ways we did not even know. So please, take care of yourself, seek help when you need it, and know that you’re not alone.
As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Most commercials exude confidence, you can be that way verbally. Have you thought of auditioning for VA work on commercials, since you are within the thirty miles zone?
One can have work published for the good of open knowledge on Wikimedia Commons, and the dozens of languages of Wikipedia.
Doing movie reviews? How about watching all the Meg Ryan + Tom Hanks pairing movies, discuss them independently, and in comparison to one another.
What are the physical and psychological impacts of complete isolation? Haven’t they done those experiments for long term space exploration simulations?
Also the opposite, in some situations many people have been crammed into small spaces relative to the group size during this current event. What are the physical and psychological impacts of overcrowding? Have you seen the research surrounding the rats of NIMH experiments?
One of the many the YouTube channels I follow is one of a pair of friars. Related to them are monks, some who take a vow of silence. But we communicate with others more than just verbally.
Living with No Face? Like the character from Spirited Away?
FYI, Star Trek on Netflix is departing in the United States by the end of September. Time to binge?
Please tell us about your family. Those related by blood, and those you chose to consider family. What are your relationships with each of those individuals? How does one maintain or improve them? Are they worth maintaining or improving? If one you consider as family has chosen to end active connection to you, how can one resolve that? If that connection remains severed, how does one cope?
Have you driven Angeles Crest, CA-2? A driving enthusiast cousin wants to do it again, and I know you are closer than us in San Diego County. If we go up, wanna join us?
