Are we letting people underestimate us, or are we underestimating ourselves?
Welcome to the Online Friend Simulator. Because everyone could use a friend, even online. I’m Francis aka The Other Guy.
How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well. Welcome back! Thank you to Anthony for the topic for today. I don’t know if I experience this and I may be a jerk for not knowing that. All I know is that I have some help in regards to the topic of the underestimated thanks to an article on the Science of People. We go over the steps, share some stories, and see if we can overcome being underestimated.
As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for listening. Please leave a review on Apple Podcasts or anywhere you listen to podcasts.

Hey Francis,
Great job on talking about being underestimated & undervalued.
I mostly wanted to hear about it because it’s a huge issue that I deal with a lot in my life, mostly from my family. When I’m talking about my family, I’m talking about my mother & brother.
In their own “loving” way, they underestimate me about everything!!!
I think they do it because of my health issues & it’s their way of protecting me from getting hurt.
Things have came up in my life where I’m going to have to start proving myself, which I have when it comes to my health & other situations in my life but I’m going to have to as Howard Beale says in Network prove that “I’m a human being God damn it, my life has value!”
I don’t underestimate anyone, because I fully understand that everyone has value!!!
When you bring up the line from Network, it reminds me of that Farside comic of the one penguin in a group of identical penguins, who jumps up and yells “I am an individual!”

October, Filipino American History Month due to a Filipino Sailor aboard a Spanish Galleon landing on American shores at Morro Bay on 18 October 1587. This the first documented instance of an individual from the continent of Asia being in the Americas since the crossing of peoples over the Bering Strait.
It has been a hot minute since the last podcast, but we will be here when you decide to return. Life happens, and enjoy the good times while they last, as you never know when those will end. Life is fleeting, we had an acquaintance who one days was just down the bar from us, pass away randomly, and not long after retiring; thus seize the day, enjoy every moment you can, live life. Life is not a spectator’s sport.
As that scene in Men in Black portrayed the idea, individuals are intelligent and can be reasoned with; people are idiots and are quick to anger and make snap judgements. Men/people are not angels. Neither are we all pure evil. The duality of mankind.
On balance, there was an MLP:FiM episode about charity, kindness, and the need for balance and limits. It dealt with the brother of the Fluttershy character. The show had many episodes which had distillable life lessons.
Idea for an episode, the day in the life of Francis. Narrate a typical weekday, and a typical weekend, in third person. There are small podcast, there are big podcast, there are ones in the middle. What matters is that you have made at least a small bit of impact on others.
What has Dave the drummer been up to?
Going over sources is fine, but don’t make it the bulk of the content. We come here for your wisdom and experiences, there is value in that as well.
Sorry, it wasn’t suppose to be fuckmen. It was suppose to be Duckman, the animated vulgar comedy by Jason Alexander made in the 90s; in the show it had a character CornFed.
Perhaps we can make a short audio recording when we all meetup?
