Welcome to the Online Friend Simulator. Because everyone could use a friend, even online. I’m Francis aka The Other Guy.

How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well. Summer is in full swing. It’s so hot. And what’s hot right now? The art of manipulation. The people around us are ready to use us if they could. Not everyone mind you, but sometimes there are people who want to play us like a fiddle. So how do we combat that? What should we do if others around us see the danger, but we do not? I give further argument for self reflection and the value of what others outside of our situation may see, that we do not.

As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

  1. Listening on Tuesday 22June2021, third full day of summer, and definitely into a drought in the American West.
Life is a series of decisions, their outcomes, and prioritizing the various numbers of things which are in one’s life. Also life is like a rope, full of possibilities of what can be made out of it. It can be made into a bridge and used to connect others; it can be made into a hammock and used to rest upon; it can be used as the mainstays to a shelter to protect one self from the elements; and as often as has been suggested it can be given to someone and used to make a noose/collar which one can hang themselves with.
Not everyone prioritizes others as those others might prioritize them. All relationships are multiple way streets, with differing amounts of value given to them by differing individuals involved.
This talk of control and manipulation reminds me of the psychology and sociology of cults. Their emergence, sustainment, and collapse.
Life is finite, we are mortal, and thus how we spend our time is an investment of the most precious thing one has. When I was in the medical field, seeing someone fight for those precious last moments was often the most heartwrenching and most noble struggle. Therefore when some gives another their time, do we realize what is being done?
Give the masses bread and circus? Good times give us weak people? Oh my, should we worry for the future?
Money does not buy happiness, but sufficient amounts may make life go smoother, as is not money a measurement of what others value someone else time?
Hmm, time. Seems like a common valued commodity.
Be well, and looking forward to the next show.
