Welcome to the Online Friend Simulator. Because everyone could use a friend, even online. I’m Francis aka The Other Guy.

How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well. First off, a big thank you to RightCowLeftCoast for the recommendation for today’s episode. He was kind enough to recommend a bunch of topics for the Simulator. So we are starting with Friendship. We start right at the beginning with a little help from the Mayo Clinic to talk about the benefits of friendship and how to find and develop them. Then I respond to Anthony’s feedback on the Fear of Rejection episode. Hopefully I provide enough help at a time that may seem rough. Hopefully this means more consistent episodes, but you know, I’ve never been consistent.

As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for listening. Please leave a review on Apple Podcasts or anywhere you listen to podcasts.

Is the criticism constructive or destructive? If the former is it helping you improve? If it is the later, why give the individuals the satisfaction of letting them see you be bothered with their non-helpfulness.
How did you hurt yourself? How can we avoid your current tragedy in the future?
We complain about our weather here in Southern California, practically a desert prior to the herculean efforts to bring water to our parched environment. Yet, reading others long to be here and them complaining about their unlikable weather where they are at, makes me be able to bear the slight discomfort when the weather here isn’t touristy.
First part of improvement is recognizing there is something that can be improved on.
Control. Is it not said somewhere that control is an illusion? If it is, why is it pivotal to certain significant things in one’s life?
I am, and I am sure I can say your audience, enjoy that your life was not cut short.

  2. The biggest problem that I have, or it could be my biggest benefit if you really think about it is…..I have LOTS of friends!!! The only thing about my friends are that they are so spread apart by the Internet, which is a great thing to know you’ve made a positive impact all over the world because of the many connections that you’ve made….the only downfall is that they aren’t in a close proximity to me so it’s hard to get any help if you need something like a ride somewhere or a good hug. :-/
