Welcome to the Online Friend Simulator. Because everyone could use a friend, even online. I’m Francis aka The Other Guy.

How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well. This week, we continue to make it through this roller coaster ride called 2020. And in 2020, we try to make sense of the madness, and some people try to use conspiracy theories to find some sanity. But maybe there’s more then that. Maybe it’s canceling people, or maybe we need to delete social media, or maybe we need to…just be human beings. Things are going mad, but that doesn’t mean you have to, as we do what we can to find that common ground and maybe our common friends on this week’s OFS Show.

As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

  1. Return to monthly podcast schedule
Dr. Tran lives a life of action, lives a life of intrigue, etc.
This podcast is such a stream of consciousness, that perhaps when you are driving to or from work, you should just hit record? Episodes might be shorter, but they may be more frequent.
Yay apolitical entertainment! Allow fans from all areas of the political spectrum. It’s great to have a cynical POV when it comes to elected politicians, being let down by decades of unfulfilled promises and allegedly well meaning policy positions, will do that.
The brony fandom wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the internet. Thankfully we are incredibly diverse as a fandom and thankfully tolerant of our fellow fans. Unfortunately tolerance of others is in short supply in the current recent period of time. Tribalism has always been prevalent throughout history, but it had seemed that we have moved passed it. Unfortunately time has proven that a fleeting moment. Now claiming a tribe, or tribes, and fighting against those outside of it/them has become accepted, even celebrated.
Yay not dead akaTheOtherGuy/Checkers/Francis! You’re to hard on yourself often. We listen as we like you, with all your faults. It’s easy to see shortcomings and faults in the mirror. Great thing though there is always time and room for making things better, even if incrementally.
